A complement of two delegations attended the MUN conference at City of London School. In addition, in the form of Rita and Callum, we provided two guest chairs – the first such in CLS MUN conferences – and they led the way in the often difficult task of managing large committees debating complex and difficult issues, including the question of Palestinian refugees and the threat posed by ISIL.
This was a fantastic opportunity for some of the younger relative newcomers to MUN conferences, and it was wonderful to see them seize the opportunity with both hands, and enjoy themselves so much in the process. Pippa’s calm and forensic contributions to the deliberations of the Security Council were excellent, and the day finished with Georgia, fresh from her chairing duties in The Hague, taking the outstanding delegate award. A very successful conference, and well done to all who attended.
