7 Royal Russell students made the long drive to Manchester (8 hours thanks to the M25 and M6) to attend the 3rd Manchester Grammar School MUN conference. Representing France our students enjoyed both individual and group success. In their committees Anatoly was mentioned in dispatches, Bartholomew and Sam won commended delegate awards and Charlotte and Daniel both won the prestigious Outstanding Delegate in the committee award. For both Daniel and Charlotte this was the first time they have won individual best in committee awards. At the closing ceremony there were 3 commended delegation awards, 2 highly commended and 1 outstanding. Our French delegation won the Outstanding Delegation Award – a fantastic achievement at a very well-run and enjoyable conference. This final delegation award caps a brilliant year for RRS MUN. Our students have attended 10 conferences this year winning 42 individual awards and 8 delegation awards. The fact that 20 different students have won awards shows the strength in depth. A big congratulations to all RRS students who have acted as delegates this year.
