Reigate Junior MUN Conference
On Saturday 23rd June six Royal Russell students attended the 2nd annual Junior Reigate MUN conference. This is a very well run conference where new students to MUN get the chance to learn the MUN ropes being shown how to debate, and how to write and lobby a resolution. Our students all spoke in committee. Maybellene and Ella did particularly well in the Human Rights Committee, helping to write a resolution and then joining in the debate both in committee and in the GA. Indeed Maybellene won a Highly Commended Award, a fantastic achievement for a Year 8 at her first conference.
