The Party Themes for this year’s Conference are as follows:
SATURDAY 18TH OCTOBER : NO THEME
This is your chance to wear anything and everything. From jackets to jeans, Doc Martins to Vans, our Saturday night is a casual, first party to get everyone warmed up and ready for RRSIMUN. It is important to note that you can go outside, so coats and scarfs may be needed – unless you can brave the cold!
SUNDAY 19TH OCTOBER: 1990s
Have you found the Liam to your Noel? The Jack to your Rose? 90s night is the perfect evening to bring out the decade of revivals, mini-skirts and Britpop. Anything from ‘Friends’ to ‘Fresh Prince’ will do and the more neon the better! If you’re ‘Clueless’ about what to wear, ’10 things I hate about you’, ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ should guide you in the Dos and Don’ts of our favourite decade!
Keeping in mind that this summer Brazil hosted the World Cup, we thought we’d introduce a little Brazilian frivolity into the mix. The final party will be celebrating all things tropical. Just take a look at Rio de Janerio for inspiration. Bring your feather boas, your colourful headgear, extravagant costumes and enjoy! There might even be a few creatures lurking at this party, both from the sea and the land… Just remember that bigger is better, but that you might want to be careful about taking those shirts off. People might be finding it too hot to handle already on that dance floor without the extra pressure, and you certainly don’t want to be caught out in the cold without a few protective layers!
