Criteria for Distinguished Delegation Award

DISTINGUISHED DELEGATION AWARD

Distinguished Delegation Awards will be made by:

(1)        Ballot of the General Assembly

– One vote per country, taken on the final morning of the Conference.

(2)        Recommendation of the student committee consisting of;

(a)        The Secretary General

(b)        The President of the General Assembly

(c)        Committee Chairpersons

INDIVIDUAL DELEGATE AWARDS

Individual Delegate Awards will be made by:

Recommendation of Committee Chairs

As a guide the following criteria will be applied:

(1)        Accurate representation of the country’s policies

(2)        Demonstration of consensus building, negotiating and leadership skills

(3)        Effectiveness in speech-making

(4)        Reasonable use of rules and procedures

(5)        Knowledge of the issues

(6)        Attendance

(7)        Overall behaviour, both during and after sessions
