27 Royal Russell students attended the Haileybury MUN conference in March with a good mix of experienced and relatively inexperienced MUN students. This is the biggest weekend conference in the UK with 120 delegations from 45 different schools and our students did really well. It was great to see many of our less experienced students making points of information and taking the floor, and nice for Sultan to finish his MUN career as a chair. With over 500 students at the conference it was also great to win so many awards.

Sam, Callum, Tom, Hamza and Kyle won Highly Commended delegate awards for their performance in committee. Royal Russell students also won 5 of the 21 Distinguished Delegate Awards with Badshah, Michelle, Tomoki, Josh and David all winning the impressive plaques. 10 Distinguished Delegation awards were given out and Royal Russell was the only school to win two – for France and Saudi Arabia.
